ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING REGULAR,

BI-MONTHLY MEETING

THE TOWN OF WALLS, MISSISSIPPI

      BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the Town of Walls, Mississippi, that it is necessary to pass an ordinance to establish a regular bi-monthly meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the Town of Walls, Mississippi. The business conducted at the monthly meetings of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen has become such that it cannot reasonably be accomplished at a single monthly meeting. It is declared that the second meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen each month will be held at 6:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of every month.

      WHEREAS, the following Ordinance was considered by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the Town of Walls, Mississippi, in the following respects:

      The regular meetings of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen have previously been held only on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m.

      The Mayor and Board of Aldermen have determined that it will be more efficient if the Mayor and Board of Aldermen now meet bi-monthly. It was further determined by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen that the most efficient date, location and time of the second meeting will be the third Tuesday of every month in the City Hall at 6:30 p.m.

      WHEREAS, it is declared by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the Town of Walls, Mississippi, that the bi-monthly Board meetings shall be held at 6602 Hwy 161 North, Walls, Mississippi, at 6:30 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of every month. These meetings shall be open to the public.

      EFFECTIVE DATE:

      These procedures shall become effective on the 16^th day of May, 2006. RESOLVED this the 4^th day of April, 2006.
